International Festival of Films and TV programs of the Central Bohemian Region “Crystal Heart Poděbrady 2009”
Thereinafter referred to as the “Crystal Heart”
Basic stipulations :
The international festival of films and TV programs will take place in June, in Poděbrady, in the area of the Spa Colonnade (June 18 – 20, 2009).
The festival “Crystal Heart” went through 7 years long successful development and was focused on films with documentary and publicistic production on the health theme. The management of the festival decided to adjust the content of the festival and future years will be extended by films and TV programs on modern lifestyle focused on young generation
It will be possible to register films in the competition, which will be divided to five categories. The jury will then nominate 7 films in each category, which will then compete for the prestigious price “Crystal Heart”. Based on decision of the festival jury Mr. Marcel Chládek was appointed as the President of the Festival. Further, the festival board will be supplemented with representatives of the general partner, representatives of the regional authority, the town of Poděbrady, and other celebrities from political and cultural life.
The town of Poděbrady, as the spa town, is the ideal place for organization of such international event due to its location, availability and significance. The aim of the festival is to acquaint general public and professionals with the current development of the stylish lifestyle in our countries and in the world as well, and provide the participants of the festival with the chance to exchange their experience. And last but not least, Poděbrady will attract much larger number of domestic and foreign guests. The organizers of the festival aim for extension of the partnership cooperation with other similar towns of the European Union.
Organization Of the Festival
The festival “Crystal Heart” lasts 3 days + 1 day for preparation + 1 day for liquidation
Over the course of the festival the organizer of the festival is able to provide accommodation to a considerable number of permanent participants and guests. Within the scope of the festival there are various accompanying events (e.g. specialized seminars, conferences, trainings, and meetings of employees of co-organizing firms and institutions) according to requirements of the general partner and co-organizers of the festival. Further, the festival is supplemented with cultural and social events, such as theatrical performances, concerts, vernissages, exhibitions and many other open social events for general public.
The festival takes place in the cultural centre of the Spa Colonnade and its overall equipment always corresponds to requirements of the general partner and other partners and requirements of the thematic orientation of the entire event. The festival is further supplemented with sports evens, such as the touristic march at the confluence of Labe and Cidlina rivers ended with the cultural program called “Walk for health heart”. One day is dedicated to domestic and world fashion accompanied by exhibitions and fashion shows of participating companies. On the day dedicated to gastronomy there is the competition of chefs “Gold Sage”, where celebrities together with apprentices compete in preparation of meals and dishes based on the principles of health food. In the course of the entire festival there are sign ceremonies of actors and celebrities with possible preview of the premiere movie. All films selected for the final competition are shown to the general public. There are many specialized seminars and previews of competition films, which compete for the main prize “Crystal Heart” prepared for guests and participants of the festival. The participants can try spa procedures, take part in cruises in steamers on Labe river and there is a trip prepared for foreign participants to various historical places in the environs. At the beginning and at the end of the festival there will be press conferences for journalists and the program of the festival will be included in reporting of TV companies. The very good long-term cooperation with the Czech Radio will secure the propagation and information from the entire course of the festival.

- Bodies of the Festival:
Festival Board consists of significant celebrities of the social spectrum and partners of the festival led by the President of the Festival. The Festival Board is appointed by the organizer after agreement with the partner. All functions in the Festival Board are honorary with advisory capacity.
Organization Staff is the executive body of the festival and secures its preparation and its course.
Festival Prizes: the main prize of the festival is the “Crystal Heart”; Based on agreement with the organizer of the festival the partners of the festival may award other prizes
